The Center for Energy Environment Resources Development (CEERD) aims to strengthen the capacity of national governments in Asia and the Pacific in energy and environment planning and policy formulation by conducting consultancy and training projects sponsored by inter-national and national agencies. It also provides information and knowledge on current issues and developments in energy and environment affecting the Asia and Pacific region by  conducting sponsored research projects and through the research and publications of its members. Ultimately, CEERD aims to be a premier observatory of Asia-Pacific energy and environment systems and policies.

CEERD relies on international project sponsors and on its strong network of partners in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. It is based in Bangkok, Thailand and is part of the Foundation for International Human Resource Development (FIHRD).
