Shell to open 5-MW solar power station in Germany
Shell Solar and German solar firm GEOSOL will open the world�s biggest solar power station south of Leipzig in Germany. The 5-MW power station, which will be opened in July 2004, is estimated to reduce CO2 emissions by 3,700 tonnes per year. The power will be fed directly into the grid and will be sufficient to meet the electricity demand of about 1,800 households.
